I am extremely proud to be the Principal to Farnborough Spencer Academy.
Our Academy is an exciting place to be, and we are proud to be the secondary school that serves the Nottingham community of Clifton. Staff and students have worked together to decide the sort of community we would like to build and this is summed up in our Academy pledge of “We Are Proud” together with our staff and student pledges –http://www.farnboroughspencer.com/ethos/
We are unapologetic for our standards, which are built around traditional values and high expectations for all. This extends beyond the school gate and our staff can often be seen, wearing hi-viz jackets, around the community and even on the tram.
Our staff work collaboratively with students and their parents to develop positive relationships, spark imaginations and encourage and enthuse the young people we educate to be the very best version of themselves and while there is a strong emphasis on academic achievement, students are given the support and guidance to develop as individuals, and we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities outside the classroom.
We are a small but growing Academy, oversubscribed in 3 year groups, and we are sure you will be amazed by what you witness if you come and visit and we look forward to working with you in the future. In 2018, we became part of the Spencer Academies Trust – http://satrust.com/, and we take advantage of the opportunities that brings, working in partnership with over 20 schools across our local area.
We have a modern building with fabulous sport, technology, art and science facilities. However, the building is not what makes a school – it’s the community. Therefore, I urge you to pay us a visit. We love showing people around and sharing our story.
