“Best Ever” Results at Farnborough Spencer Academy

Staff and students at Farnborough Spencer Academy are celebrating a pleasing set of examination results, following on from their Good Ofsted grading achieved this year. Against a backdrop of disruption, this cohort have been the first group of students to sit examinations with no additional help or support following the Covid pandemic.

Executive Principal, Graeme Smith said “against a challenging national picture, we are proud that this group of year 11s have excelled and have achieved some of the best results in the school’s history. More students than ever before have passed their English and maths qualifications and we are celebrating our highest number of top grades. The students who open their results today, will be supported to achieve in the next stage of their education and we know that they will thrive. I would also like to thank our staff and families for their unwavering support and commitment. These results are a step on our journey, and we look forward to building on them as we look to starting our new term positively.”

Particular congratulations go to the following students who have a bumper crop of top grades:

Emily W, with 6 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s and a grade 7, Sophie R with 2 grade 9s and 6 grade 8s, Wid S with 4 grade 9s and 1 grade 8, Asghar M with 3 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s and 2 grade 7s, and Sam K with 2 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s and 2 grade 7s.

We are also proud of Bailey A, Sharna M, Erin R-P and Ruby P, all of whom have made outstanding progress from their starting points.

Success is not just about academic achievement, and we are proud of our students who have achieved across a range of subjects. Performance in vocational subjects is strong, and improving on last year and we are pleased with continued excellence in these areas.
